Local Blacksmith solves Grandey’s Conundrum

Grandey’s Place pocket watch expert, Seth Kennedy, found help from an unexpected quarter after a vanishingly rare piece of vintage machinery, which he used to carry out a prestigious commission for the Royal Family, required an important upgrade.
Seth did what any self respecting craftsman might have done a hundred or more years ago and asked the local blacksmith - Rich Maynard of the Much Hadham Forge - to make a new part for his prized rose engine lathe, which is used for fine machine engraving.
Seth recently used the machine to engrave a solid gold decoration called The Royal Family Order of King Charles III for Queen Camilla.
