Education and passing on the wealth of craft experience gathered by our craftspeople during their years of training is central to our ethos here at Grandey’s Place. As well participating in our tours, school visits and open days, some of our talented craftspeople also offer courses in their respective crafts where members of the general public can learn new skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Bryony Applegate - Ceramics

Bryony offers a range of hand-building and slip-casting workshops designed to help you create beautiful homeware and tableware, suitable for all levels of experience. She also runs a flexible “Clay and Play” pay-as-you-go studio membership, giving access to studio tools, as well as kiln and wheel hire.

Miloš Hynek - Floral Design

Miloš offers a selection of half-day workshops and masterclasses in many aspects of floristry through 'The Art of Flowers - Classes' section of his website. You can choose from hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements and Christmas wreath making, as well as sessions in table-scaping, centrepieces and candle arrangements.

A range of courses including hand-building (African Pottery Methods & Approaches to Tea Bowls), wheel-thrown pottery and glaze-making.
